Mainpine Announces Certification Lab for Fax Server Manufacturers
Testing Facility Provides ISVs with an In-Depth Understanding of their Fax Applications Performance with RockForce Intelligent Fax Hardware in a Variety of Working Conditions

/Oregon News Articles/ - PORTLAND, OR - March 13, 2006 - Mainpine Inc., an industry innovator in the global intelligent fax hardware arena, announced today it has opened a testing facility for fax ISVs (Independent Software Vendors). This process allows ISVs to gain insights into total cost of ownership and to accurately gauge compatibility, reliability, performance and speed of their fax applications with Mainpine's intelligent fax board line across a range of conditions.

The lab is complete with over 50 different fax machines, MFP (multi-function devices) and workstations as well as an array of various network configurations. Software applications go through high-volume stress testing which includes broadcasts using single and multi-page industry standard fax images. Programs are tested for reliability, speed and performance on the send and receive side from various V.29 (9600 Kbps), V.17 (14.4 Kbps) and V.34 (33.6 Kbps) fax devices.

Hands-on testing is performed by Mainpine field technicians and engineers and takes approximately 5-7 business days. At the conclusion of the testing, an ISV is provided with a comprehensive and accurate assessment report. Depending upon the results of the tests, ISVs can receive a "Mainpine RockForce" certification and be listed as an authorized distributor. At their discretion, results can be shared by ISVs to their OEMs, channel partners, VARs (value-added resellers) and end-users.
