Eco-Friendly Retail Company's "Green" Idea Is a Hit
Full Moon Foodies is receiving a welcome deluge of attention and support

/Oregon News Articles/ - PORTLAND, OR, May 29, 2007 - Full Moon Foodies Inc., of Portland, Oregon, had no idea their alternative organic convenience store concept would garner this much attention. After receiving a tremendous amount of national interest and receiving numerous investor inquiries, management has decided upon a larger roll out in order to capitalize on the opportunity. They've created a unique and easily scalable concept that has broad appeal to the socially conscious consumer.

The demand for organic goods is exploding. "It's a highly underrated opportunity for small business," says Dr. Karel J. Samsom, a specialist in environmental and sustainable entrepreneurship and author of Spirit of Entrepreneurship. A study by the Organic Trade Association shows that nonfood organic product sales reached $744 million in U.S. consumer sales in 2005, with supplements, personal care and household products leading the charge. "For green entrepreneurs, passion is key," says Samsom: "People who are imbued with this kind of spirit have an incredible imagination to rebuild the value chain and inspire their customers in the process."

The experienced management team has received inquiries from franchising companies, investment banks and even a member of the Rothschild family. The cumulative outside investment interest has certainly created excitement for the management, but they've decided that it is more prudent to focus efforts on formalizing the current capital raising process. By utilizing private placement financing Full Moon Foodies and investors are benefited three fold. First, it allows sophisticated socially conscious investors an early entry point for investing. Secondly, investor liquidity is provided for. Lastly, the required share holder base is established to meet the SEC's requirements to facilitate completing a public listing near term.

"As more and more people are conscience of the environment, (starting an eco-friendly business) has become more popular," according to Steve Rosen, CEO of FranNet, a franchise consulting organization. And these businesses are increasingly popular with customers too, Rosen says, "because it is something that agrees with people's social objectives."

The future for Full Moon Foodies looks very bright indeed.
