Mrs. P Joins Get Caught Reading Campaign, Launches Fall Writing Contest
Kathy Kinney AKA Mrs. P, of the popular website for children, is the latest celebrity to be featured in the Get Caught Reading Campaign.

PORTLAND, OR, June 14, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The newest celebrity to "get caught reading" is Mrs. P (actress Kathy Kinney, best known as "Mimi" on The Drew Carey Show), an adventurous, funny Irishwoman who reads classic children's stories from her Magic Library on www.MrsP.com. MrsP.com is a free entertainment website for children celebrating books and reading. Kids can choose a book from the interactive talking library shelf or listen to one of Mrs. P's original exciting adventures. They also have the chance to read along with Mrs. P through a special subtitle section.

The website endeavors to expose young people to great books and stories through a celebrity storyteller and to spark their imaginations and creativity with on-line games and writing contests. Enter the Mrs. P writing contest for Children coming September 1, 2009
Mrs. P will launch her first writing contest on September 1, 2009. Children are invited to write a story on any topic, not to exceed 1,000 words and no less than 250 words. It may be fiction or nonfiction. All participants must be ages 4 to 13 (there will be 2 separate categories). Complete details can be found on www.MrsP.com beginning September 1 under the blue ribbon icon in the Magic Library.

The two (2) Grand Prizes will be awarded and they will have their stories read by Mrs. P and original illustrations will be created. Each lucky child will receive an actual copy of the story in addition to having it posted on www.MrsP.com for viewers to watch and enjoy.
