The Local Dish Launches Regional Social Networks For Food Lovers
The Local Dish, a new media company, announces the launch of regional microsites one year after start-up. The site is an online place for food lovers to upload their own photos, videos and articles, announce events, share cooking ideas and more.

MEDFORD, OR, August 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Local Dish, an online community for foodies, is excited to announce the launch of five regional microsites in Seattle, Portland, Eugene, Southern Oregon and the San Francisco Bay Area. Food lovers in these regions can find, contribute and share the latest relevant food information and make connections with others who share similar epicurean interests.

"I've always been passionate about cooking, but when I tried to find information, recipes and people talking about what's happening where they live, I had to search multiple websites," says Barb Magee, founder and CEO of The Local Dish. So, I decided to create a single place for communities to gather, where food lovers can share local food tips and experiences with each other, and also discover what's new and interesting in other cities."

By combining food with social networking, users can share information and stay " in the know" about the local food scene in their area. A combination of user-generated and branded content will include tips for growing and cooking food, news on restaurants, chefs and markets, community-sourced recipes, video posts and more.
